It's August already! In this month summer gives way for autumn in Finland. Even though the temperatures are still nice and warm you start to feel the coolness in the air and the overall feeling just changes. Trees start to transform towards their autumn colors and we can't wait for that! In August bird migration continues. Many waders gather in suitable shores to feed before leaving and insectivores such as warblers move south. The forests are not filled by song anymore but you can hear the birds gathering in flocks.
